Raiffeisen Capital is an asset management company that provides tools and management services for investors. Their main goal is to make investments easy for wide variety of clients with their unique needs

The problem

The existing platform was struggling to keep up with evolving investor needs. The user experience was outdated, making it difficult for customers to navigate and engage with new features. Additionally, our reliance on an old tech stack slowed down development, delaying critical updates. With ambitious new targets for Monthly Active Users (MAU) and Assets Under Management (AUM), we needed a bold transformation to stay competitive.

The solution

To tackle these challenges, we took a user-first approach. We conducted Customer Journey Mapping (CJM) to identify critical pain points and areas for improvement. By integrating investment tools within the bank’s main app, we made investing more accessible than ever. Finally, we redesigned the website, ensuring clear, compelling communication about investment options, fees, and benefits—all to empower users with confidence in their financial decisions.

Our personal account was outdated and lacked intuitive controls, making investment management frustrating for users. We heard it and we redesigned it from the ground up, making it smarter, more accessible, and easier to navigate. By introducing a ‘lite’ version for new customers, we provided a risk-free way for them to explore investment tools before fully committing. Through extensive user interviews and research, we identified key pain points and addressed them, leading to a smoother experience and higher customer satisfaction.

By streamlining navigation, improving transparency on portfolio performance, and clarifying investment options, we empowered users to take action independently—reducing the need for customer support while enhancing overall user confidence.

We knew that integrating investment tools directly into the bank’s app could revolutionize accessibility for customers. But before committing to development, we needed validation. We conducted user interviews, tested interactive prototypes via Zoom and Figma, and gathered insights to refine the experience.

A Revamped Website: Clearer, Smarter, and More Engaging

Investing can feel overwhelming, especially with unclear information. Our old website failed to address customer concerns, leaving many questions unanswered. We transformed the platform into a comprehensive, user-friendly resource, detailing product benefits, commission structures, and key advantages.

Additionally, we introduced interactive lead-generating forms, making it easier than ever for users to take the next step toward investing.

Enhancing Visuals: Making Investments More Appealing

Visual storytelling is crucial in making financial products more approachable. Partnering with graphic agencies, we crafted over 30 high-quality visuals tailored for multiple platforms. The impact was immediate—users started recalling key imagery, like the Statue of Liberty-themed investment screen, reinforcing brand identity and trust.

This investment in design didn’t just enhance aesthetics—it strengthened user engagement and product recognition.

The new personal account was launched in May 2022. We introduced a solution for financial advisors based on personal account development & design, but with completely new customers in mind in August 2023.

We increased user base for 2,5x, overperformed in revenue and eased life for many many clients and colleagues.
