2018 – 2019
Domclick from Sberbank is one of the TOP-3 real estate sites in Russia with audience of up of 6.4 million MAU. It connects buyers, sellers, renters in one place.
When I joined, my initial task was to develop a new ML-powered property valuation tool. As the project evolved, I also played a key role in refining core marketplace features, including property search, offer listings, and monetization strategies.
To solve these challenges, I collaborated across multiple teams, including the ML Evaluation Team, Core UX Team, and Design System Team. My focus was to create seamless, data-driven solutions that improved user experience and platform monetization.
I also worked closely with content editors to ensure that the information architecture and content strategy aligned with user needs.
We launched and monetized an Evaluation feature, tested and implemented several hypothesis for Core features, started working on unified design-system for all teams.
One of the biggest challenges in real estate is accurate property valuation. Buyers and sellers often struggle to determine fair pricing, leading to lengthy negotiations and uncertainty.
To address this, we developed a machine learning-powered valuation tool that analyzes 40+ key property parameters (location, building condition, market trends, etc.). This allowed users to get instant, data-driven price estimates, improving transparency and decision-making.
Key achievements:
With an increasing number of users accessing Domclick via mobile, we needed to enhance mobile usability while ensuring stability and ease of access.
We focused on three key areas:
Impact:
We followed a data-driven approach, rigorously A/B testing hypotheses before implementing changes. By running structured offline experiments, we gathered insights into user behavior and validated design decisions before full-scale deployment.
We aimed to simplify the search experience, making it more intuitive and increasing user engagement. However, after launch, we observed an unexpected 11% drop in search conversions.
Key Learnings:
Users frequently encountered connectivity issues when calling sellers via the in-app telecom system, leading to frustration and lost opportunities. To fix this, we introduced a new dual-call system, allowing users to choose between:
Results:
Working at Domclick gave me valuable experience in ML-driven product development, mobile UX, and user research. I honed my skills in data-driven decision-making, learned the importance of iterative design, and collaborated with cross-functional teams to drive real business impact.
As I move forward, I’m excited to take on even more complex challenges, pushing the boundaries of user experience and digital innovation.
